TP ICAP, , announced this Friday morning through the London Stock Exchange (LSE) that it has appointed its current interim Chair of the Board’s Risk Committee and non-executive director, David Shalders, as the permanent Chair of the Committee.
According to the statement released today, the change is effective immediately. Furthermore, Shalders has also been added to the Audit Committee as a member.

Outside of TP ICAP, Shalders has accrued a career spanning almost three decades, predominately operations and IT-based roles in the financial industry.
Currently, he is the Group Operations & Technology Director at Willis Towers Watson plc. In this role, he is responsible for a number of functions ranging from IT, operations and real estate.
Shalders joined the company in November 2013. Prior to his tenure at Willis Towers Watson, he was employed at the (RBS) for ten years.
Whilst here, he was based in senior operations and IT roles. His most current job before his departure was Global Chief Operating Officer for Global Banking and Markets. He was also the Global Head of Operations for Corporate Banking and Financial Markets.
During his decade-long stint at RBS, he led the Global Banking and Markets regulatory response to Basel 3. Shalders has also held positions at Greenwich NatWest (now RBS), S G Warburg (now UBS), JP Morgan and Accenture.
TP ICAP adds Angela Knight to the Risk Committee
In addition to Shalders’ appointment, TP ICAP has also added Angela Knight, a non-executive director and member of the Audit Committee, to the Risk Committee with immediate effect.
