AxiomSL, , data, and risk management solutions, announced this Tuesday that it has hired David Weber to take on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Weber takes on the role of CFO from Eyal Amsalem who has been the CFO of AxiomSL since 2008. Amsalem will be moving to the role of Chief Administrative Officer and will help lead initiatives to manage the global presence of AxiomSL in North America, , APAC and Latin America, the statement said.
Weber joins AxiomSL from Charles River Development (CRD), a provider of investment management and trading solutions. Here, he also held the role of CFO from 2006. He brings with him more than three decades worth of experience in financial management and operations.
The career experience of Weber spans across multiple sectors. His management experience, in particular, has varied across finance, accounting, human resources, legal and general operations of the business. At CRD, he also helped with the company’s recent sale to State Street Bank and Trust Company.

Before joining CRD in 2006, Weber was based at Sybase Inc. Whilst employed at the firm he held a number of roles including Vice President of Worldwide and International Field Operations Finance; Senior Director of Professional Services; and Director of Operations.
AxiomSL appointment marks Weber’s third time as CFO
During his career, according to his LinkedIn profile, Weber has held the position of CFO three times, including his most recent appointment. The first time he held that role was at Context Integration, a software consulting company.
