BlockEx Capital Markets Limited, a for blockchain-based digital assets, announced via a regulatory filing that it has terminated the appointment of Andrew Perkins as a director, effective from December 16, 2018.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Perkins was the Director of Finance at BlockEx, a position he held from October 2017 up until yesterday. It is not clear if he has left the company entirely or if he has just taken on a new role.

At present, Perkins is employed at CityMaaS, which developed CityMaaS Assist – a decentralised app to “achieve friction-less travel for disabled people”. Here, Perkins is the Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder since July this year.
Andrew Perkins’ career before BlockEx
Prior to working at BlockEx and CityMaas, Perkins worked at , a specialist bank and asset manager. Here, Perkins was employed for four and a half years, originally joining as the Structured Equity Derivatives Financial Controller in April 2013.
In June 2016, he took on an additional role of Blockchain R&D Lead. In this position, he was responsible for analysing and promoting the use of blockchain within the company. According to his LinkedIn, this was predominately for administration, issuance and lifecycling purposes.
During his career, Perkins has also worked at for more than five years as the Assistant Vice President, Valuation Control & Analytics. When he kicked off his career in 2004, he first started out at Grant Thornton LLP as an Assurance Professional, a role he held until September 2007.
Before embarking on his career in finance and blockchain, Perkins studied at the Imperial College London. Between 1999 up until 2003 he worked towards achieving a Bachelor of Science in the field of Chemistry with Management.
