Euronext, , announced on Tuesday that its has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Euronext Lisbon and CEO of Interbolsa – Isabel Ucha.

Her new titles will become effective from January 1, 2019, providing that she is formally appointed in an Extraordinary Shareholders’ Meeting of Euronext N.V. Ucha will be replacing Paulo Rodrigues da Silva, who resigned from his position as the CEO of the exchange’s Lisbon office.
He will be leaving the exchange at the end of this year. Once he leaves, Paulo Rodrigues da Silva plans to pursue personal projects, specifically, in regards to entrepreneurship and academia.

Isabel Ucha’s influence at Euronext
When Ucha first joined in 2007 she was working in the company’s Portugal operations. Here, she helped improve the company’s product development and commercial activity within the country. This includes the establishment of the Porto Technology Centre.
Before commencing her career with the exchange, Ucha worked in both the public and the private sector. Some notable roles include her time at the Portuguese Debt Management office (IGCP) where she was the Head of Issuing and Markets. She also worked with the issuers division of the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM) where she was an economic advisor to the Prime Minister of Portugal.
