Another appointment over at this Wednesday. The Prime of Prime broker, that has onboarded a host of new executives in the past few months, announced in mid-week that has joined the company as a Strategic Advisor.
“I believe there’s a huge market opportunity for Stater, given the current industry environment and the increased need for genuine Prime of Prime brokers from clients across the globe,” said Agha. “Stater’s momentum and energy has huge appeal to me.”
Agha has almost 30 years’ experience in the financial sector and has worked on compliance procedures, in operations and with prime brokers.
Most notably, Agha was the Head of Treasury for the Danish investment bank and broker, Saxo Bank, between 2000 to 2008.
From CFH to Stater Global Markets
Prior to joining Marex Spectrum, Agha co-founded CFH Clearing – a prime broker based in Copenhagen. Working as an Executive Director at the firm, he was headed up the company’s operations department.

Agha’s appointment follows on from a number of significant hires announced by Stater over the last six months. Mark Chesterman, who joined from IG’s institutional division, was . Since then, Michael Davies and Ayhan Gurcuoglu, both formerly with Sucden Financial, were appointed Global Head of Sales and Regional Sales Manager respectively.
