Saxo Capital Markets UK has seen the departure of Andrew Stylianou, the group’s Head of Legal and Compliance and Company Secretary. The decision will see Mr. Stylianou part ways with Saxo Capital Markets after a three-year stint, who will be replaced by Rachel Przybylski.
Stylianou originally joined Saxo Capital Markets back in mid-2015. The entirety of his career has been focused on the financial services space, working in a number of different venues. During his time at Saxo Capital Markets, he held the role of Head of Legal and Compliance and Company Secretary.
Prior to joining Saxo Capital Markets in 2015, he worked at Alpari UK for over five years between 2009 and early 2015. He had served as Alpari UK’s Head of Legal, being promoted to Legal Director in 2014. Alpari UK had after the Swiss National Bank’s (SNB) decision roiled FX markets in early 2015.
In addition to these roles, Mr. Stylianou also worked at other venues, including stops at Macquarie Bankas its Manager, Legal & Compliance. He started his career as a Manager at Brewin Dolphin in 2004, ultimately part of his overall fourteen-year tenure in the industry, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile. It is unknown where his next stop is following his departure from Saxo Capital Markets.
By extension, Saxo Capital Markets has already tapped his replacement in Rachel Przybylski. Przybylski is a three-year veteran of the company, having worked as its Head of Market Structure since 2015.
In this capacity, she has been responsible for its business strategy and the implementation of regulatory changes across all asset classes. She has spearheaded Saxo Capital Markets’ adaption towards several key structural changes, largely driven by MiFID II. She has been appointed as the group’s new Company Secretary with immediate effect, per a regulatory filing.
