NEX Optimisation, a provider of portfolio of cloud-hosted services across the transaction lifecycle, has appointed Colin Murphy as Chief Commercial Officer with immediate effect, according to a group statement.
The new appointment will also aggregate a number of responsibilities from NEX Regulatory Reporting, a recently launched solution that caters to MiFID II and other regulatory regimes. As its Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Murphy will be based out of London, whilst reporting to Jenny Knott, CEO of NEX Optimisation, also working in tandem with Collin Coleman, Head of NEX Regulatory Reporting.
Mr. Murphy joins NEX Optimisation with over two decades of experience in the financial services sector. Most recently, he worked at Goldman Sachs, where he served as its Managing Director for Securities Lending and Equity Finance, part of a lengthy stint extending back to 1997.
While at Goldman Sachs, he also worked as its Head of Sales Trading across Equities and Fixed Income product, with an emphasis on hedge fund clients, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile.
According to Ms. Knott in a statement on the appointment: “Colin Murphy is a fantastic appointment for NEX Optimisation and will help us deliver the NEX Regulatory Reporting solution to a wider range of financial services clients. Colin brings significant markets experience to NEX and I look forward to working with him as we further develop and expand our client offering.”
