Marex Spectron, one of the largest commodities brokers serving the global market, has announced a senior appointment to its team, on-boarding Megan McCracken as its Head of Strategy, who joins the group from HSBC holdings, according to a company statement.
In her new role Ms. McCracken will be tasked with supporting the development of new and existing growth initiatives across the group’s business – she steps into the new position with immediate effect and will be based out of London.
Ms. McCracken joins Marex Spectron after a diverse and lengthy career in the financial services industry and consulting space. She worked at HSBC Holdings as its Director of Group Strategy, having focused on global strategy, governance, and implementation plans for HSBC’s international network.
She has also held senior level roles at Citi for over three years as its Senior Vice President and Global Head of Strategic Programs in London. Additionally, she has worked as a consultant for OC&C Strategy Consultants, Diamond Consultants, now Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and companies, dating back to 2000, according to information made public on her Linkedin profile.
According to Ian Lowitt, Marex Spectron’s Chief Executive, in a recent statement on the appointment: “We are excited about Megan joining Marex Spectron, where she will help us develop and grow our franchise. We are an ambitious organisation, looking at both acquisition and organic opportunities, and Megan will play an important role in supporting the Executive team.”
