He is joining the brokerage as an experienced legal executive with substantial experience working as a legal officer with online technology companies.
Javier Martell will be overseeing global legal functions and serve as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
Commenting on the appointment, the CEO of OANDA Ed Eger said: “Javier brings the dynamic experience OANDA needs to support our rapidly growing, international customer base. With 25 years of legal, regulatory and corporate technology leadership, Javier is a tremendous addition to the OANDA team and our business objectives.”
Eye on Expansion
OANDA was just outlined by Investment Trends as the second largest retail forex brokerage in the U.S. The company has been actively expanding its business in recent years and is bolstering its team at an important time for the company’s development.
“OANDA has earned an enviable reputation among a global community of traders and business partners who recognize the decades-long dedication to fast, powerful execution. I’m excited to be among OANDA’s leaders as we enter a new era of innovation and enhanced execution for more traders across asset classes and platforms,” Martell stated.
