The latest key hire by ICAP’s EBS division is Mark Bucaj, who leaves FXCM to join the EBS BrokerTec US office, a switch already made at the start of last week, according to people familiar with the hire. Mark Bucaj joins as Product Director within the company’s BrokerTec division, bringing an extensive background of related expertise spanning a nearly 25-year career in finance.
According to Finance Magnates sources, Mr. Bucaj reports to the firm’s CTO and Global Head of Product, Viral Tolat, and is based in New York, and will oversee execution and matching workflow across EBS Brokertec trading platforms, as part of the new role.

Mr. Bucaj left FXCM to take on this new role, according to information contained in a public LinkedIn profile attributed to him, and which included recent roles as Director of Production Management at FXCM’s Pro division and where he helped contribute to numerous joint ventures and platform initiatives during his nearly seven-year tenure with the company.
Prior to the role with FXCM, Mr. Bucaj was an Independent Financial Advisor for nearly three years, after holding a role as VP of Product Management at FX MarketSpace from March 2007 through October 2008, and was previously Director of Product Management with Currenex also for a two-year period.
Before transitioning in his FX industry career, he was a VP at TD Waterhouse for 13 years, and Product Manager for listed options trading, among other roles held over that 10+ year period.
