ING Financial Markets, a financial institution dealing in retail and commercial banking and asset management, has promoted longtime company veteran Bart Nijhout as its newest Head of Data Analytics, Finance Magnates has learned.
ING Financial Markets supports a variety of assets and applications, including foreign exchange (FX) and money market, multi-bank portals, and fixed income. Mr. Nijhout has been involved with the group for two decades, having joined the company back in 1996.
His tenure has seen him rise through the ranks, initially as Account Manager for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). His ascension has seen him assume such roles as Vice President of Corporate Sales and Advisory, Manager of FX Regional Financial Markets Desks, Business Development, and most recently its Senior Strategy Office Manager, prior to his most recent promotion.
Before his elevation, Mr. Nijhout served as ING Financial’s Senior Strategy Office Manager for over a year, whilst being based out of London. In his new role as the Head of Data Analytics, he will be working out of the group’s Amsterdam office, where he will help lead the group’s engineering and development as well as fostering ING’s continued innovation around FM Data Analytics. His role is tendered with immediate effect.
