Barclays Plc’s Head of Markets, Eric Felder Stepping Down

Barclays Plc’s Head of Markets, Eric Felder is reportedly stepping down and relinquishing his role as the bank’s Head of Markets after only one year on the job, according to a Bloomberg report.

Mr. Felder joined Barclays back in 2008, following the Barclays’ acquisition of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. He only ascended to the position of head of markets back in April 2014, having managed and overseen global sales and trading out of the bank’s New York branch.

Replacing Mr. Felder is financial services veteran Joe Corcoran, who will assume the role of head of markets in Felder’s stead on an interim basis. Mr. Corcoran presently serves as the head of equities and credit products at Barclays.

According to Tom King, CEO of Barclays, in a recent statement on the departure, “As we approach the one-year anniversary of our strategy update, now is an appropriate time to make a leadership change in our markets business to take us forward through the rest of 2015 and beyond.”

“Mr. Felder intends to use this moment of change as an opportunity to pursue a career more aligned with his personal and professional ambitions,” he added.

Back in February, , parted ways with the UK lender, snapping a three-year stint.
