Bank of America (BofA) Merrill Lynch has secured the services of Michael Wise as its newest Vice Chairman of Global Equity Capital Markets (ECMs), having parted ways with Goldman Sachs, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
This is the second hiring of BofA this week, following an earlier report today that the US lender was as its editorial consultant.
In his new role as the vice chairman of global ECMs at BofA, Mr. Wise will be tasked with managing the bank’s array of institutional and industrial clientele, with a focus on ECMs. He will be based out of New York, where he will report to both Mary Ann Deignan and Craig Coben, BofA’ co-heads of global ECMs.
Mr. Wise joins BofA from Goldman Sachs where he served as its head of equity offerings for a number of financial institutions, culminating in a partnership with the bank in 2010. Prior to his tenure at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Wise worked for over thirteen years at Morgan Stanley as its chairman and co-head of ECMs – Americas.
