Etsy launched a new mobile application for sellers

Handmade and vintage Ecommerce platform Etsy has released a new mobile application intended for its seller based clientele.

Etsy already offers tools for sellers on its conjoined seller-shopper application, but that application does not offer an extensive list of merchant tools as its desktop counterpart.

Given the surge in mobile usage, not only from shoppers but from the sellers as well, Etsy found that a growing number of its merchants were conducting business via mobile devices. The result is a seller oriented mobile application which offers the full set of seller options to conduct business off of mobile devices as they would on through Etsy’s browser based back office.

The application dubbed “Sell on Etsy” offers a plethora of new seller oriented options such as:

Shop Activity Feed: Keep a close view on purchases, reviews, and favorites.

Order Management: The ability to manage and completed orders.

Listing Manager: Create, edit, and publish listings directly from mobile devices.

Convos (conversations): Read and write convos and the ability to reuse template messages.

Shop Stats: Access to listing and store views, favorites, orders, and order history.

Notifications: Push notification when a sale in completed or a shopper sends you a message.

The application currently made for the Apple iPhone. The iOS application can also work on the iPad, but it is not optimized for the device. An Android variant is planned for release this summer.
